Q: What’s in our wraps?

We’ve tried to explain the ingredients in non-scientific language!

Ingredient Why this ingredient?
Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer This ingredient makes our wraps elastic and resilient – so they last a long time and fit perfectly to your nails.
Hydrogenated Poly (C6-20 Olefin) This is a common ingredient used in hair products, skin products and sun care products (it’s probably in most of the other products in your bathroom cabinet!)
N-Butyl Acetate This is a chemical in fruit – especially red apples! It helps to flavor fruit and give it it’s sweet taste.. It is used in nail wraps as a solvent. It is also used to flavor candy, ice cream, cheeses, and baked goods (so is edible).
Polyacrylic acid This ingredient is used in diapers to give them their softness and flexibility. Safe for babies and safe for your nails!
Ethyl Acetate This is a colourless liquid with a sweet smell that is used in alcohol, to decaffeinate  tea and coffee and in glues and nail polishes.
Nitrocellulose This ingredient protects the nail and at the same time allows it to breathe. This is a very widely used ingredient in different types of nail polish.
Dipentaerythrityl Hexaacrylate This is one of the ingredients that helps our wraps to last a long time (2-4 weeks!)  It makes our wraps flexible, stick to the nail well and then become strong and scratch and moisture resistant.
Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate This is the same ingredient that is used on soft contact lenses – so it is safe for your eyes and nails!
Hydroxycyclohexyl Phenyl Ketone This ingredient helps to ensure the wraps harden onto your nails effectively and helps to ensure the wraps can be removed without damaging your nails.
Bis-Trimethylbenzoyl Phenylphosphine Oxide This is a product used in nail modelling – so it helps to make sure the nail wraps take the correct shape.
